Facilitating Athena Project's "Read & Rant" Series - October 2021 & January 2022

Alongside Executive Producer Angela Astle, I had the pleasure of co-curating a six-month series highlighting the top produced plays and playwrights from the 2019-2020 American theatre season for the latter half of 2021. In addition, I was able to facilitate one of the sessions, which discussed Larissa FastHorse’s The Thanksgiving Play and What Would Crazy Horse Do in October 2021.

In January 2022, I returned to facilitate a conversation on Gina Torrecilla’s Gentileschi. The play was the first play highlighted in their next six-month series focusing on unproduced works. Gentileschi focuses on Artemisia Gentileschi in her mid-life, grappling with her art and past and was recognized as a 2022 Plays in Progress Series semi-finalist,

RECONCILIATION at University of Iowa

On March 8, 2020, I curated and produced a staged reading of Reconciliation by Marisa Carr at the University of Iowa. The reading was directed by Mary Beth Easley (Chair, Department of Theatre Arts) and funded by the Division of Performing Arts.

Upcoming Projects

Morgan will be attending the New Play Dramaturgy Intensive at the MFA Playwrights' Workshop in August 2018 - produced by the Kennedy Center American College Theatre Festival, LMDA, and the National New Play Network.
